As a business major in college, Dr. B became a camp counselor for mentally and physically challenged children with various illnesses, ranging from cerebral palsy to genetic disorders and psychiatric illnesses. He grew to cherish this part-time work with the Children’s Aid Society of New York and continued his work for this agency by participating in their weekend respite programs and annual Christmas “Toys for Tots” drive.
Dr. B was employed in the world of banking after graduating from college with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. However, his passion for working with children continued to grow, and he ultimately left a successful career to become a pediatrician.
Dr. B completed medical school, which included training within the World Health Organization’s medical system. Dr. B received his pediatric training at the Long Island College Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. There he had the opportunity to work with many renowned pediatric subspecialists, further developing his skills in pediatric medicine.
After graduating from residency, Dr. B returned to the Mid-Hudson region and worked for a not-for-profit organization, caring for children in underserved communities. However, as a long-time resident of Warwick, NY, he longed to return to his hometown and bring the pediatric skills he had acquired.
Dr. B’s vision was to create a pediatric practice where every child felt comfortable, and to offer a return to a traditional style of medicine: the complete community doctor. After continued encouragement from his colleagues, family, and friends, Dr. B brought his practice to Warwick, NY.
Dr. B resides in Warwick, NY, with his wife and five children. He continues his studies in pediatrics and enjoys serving his community. He was selected favorite doctor by Hudson Valley Parent Magazine and has received the AAP and AMA physician recognition awards.
